Annual Christmas Coffee Morning

On Saturday 27th November, the annual Christmas coffee morning took place on the Isle of Man to raise money for Cork Dog Action Welfare Group and Dumfriesshire and Cumbria Greyhound Rescue.  The event is usually organised by Jane and Dale Farquhar and Karen and William McHarg. This year, Karen and William who have relocated to Scotland, helped from afar. Lots of people made and donated things (see pictures) and helped out on the day with setting up and looking after stalls.

Special mention must go to Maggie and Chris who made lots of delicious cakes and homemade soup and rolls as well as Jo who had a stall with lots of her beautiful handmade dog gifts.  Kellie looked after the raffle with Kay, Nikki, Louise, Karen L and her family who helped with everything on the day.  Slightly over £1000 was raised with £500 being donated to DCGR.

What can we day other than a big, big, thanks from all at DCGR including our new Management Team and of course the grateful homeless hounds in our care.

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all our friends on the Isle of Man
