We never put a healthy dog to sleep and will look for the right home for as long as it takes,

Monthly Walk

This Month’s Walk Is In Dumfries!

Our group walk for April will be in central Dumfries, with a circular walk around Dock Park, DG1 2RY, along the River Nith towards Kingholm Quay and back through the park.

We are hoping to have some of our Homeless Hounds available to meet you too, so be sure and contact us if there are any dogs you’d specifically like to meet.

The Walk starts at 11.00am on Saturday, 25th April, 2026.

Amazing Fundraising Event!

Did you join us to Paw-ty🐾🥳 DCGR fans? Recently a local band, The Mustangz, played in Brampton and donated the profits from the gig to DCGR!

After a fang-tastic night out, these su-Paw stars ⭐ raised a whopping £1,000.00 for our homeless hounds. They really do deserve a huge round of App-Paws👏🏻.

What We Do



We look for forever homes or foster places for retired or injured, ex-racing greyhounds. We never put a healthy dog to sleep and will look for a home for as long as it takes.

We raise all our own funds through events, donations and sales in our charity shop. All our staff are volunteers and all our income is used for the welfare of the dogs in our care.


